At Morristown Memorial, our orthopedic surgeons offer the latest in minimally invasive surgical techniques for faster recovery from both minor joint injuries and major impairments. Each year we perform more than 1,300 joint replacements and treat more than 1,500 people with complex injuries.

Morristown Memorial Hospital is one of only 16 health care organizations nationwide awarded the Gold Seal of Approval™ from The Joint Commission, achieving Disease-Specific Care Certifications for its joint replacement programs in the hip and knee categories. These designations recognize that our hip and knee replacement programs are patient-centered, comprehensive and well developed, resulting in better outcomes for patients.

In addition, our Trauma Center is accredited as a Level I Regional Trauma Center by the American College of Surgeons and Level II by the state. And, we are home to the North Jersey Regional Arthritis Center where you can receive community disease management and health education.  Our Spine Program offers procedures to correct vertebrae disorders and alleviate back pain.

Hand, Foot and Ankle Surgery
Morristown Memorial Hospital orthopedic experts are specifically trained to treat disorders of the hand, wrist, forearm, shoulder, elbow, foot and ankle.

North Jersey Regional Arthritis Center
Everything the arthritis patient needs is right here: referrals to physicians for early, accurate diagnosis, medical and surgical interventions, physical and occupational therapy, pain management, community disease management and health education.

Orthopedic Trauma
Atlantic Health orthopedic surgeons at Morristown Memorial Hospital’s Trauma Center treat more than 1,500 people annually with complex injuries resulting from motor vehicle collisions or other incidents.  Morristown Memorial's Trauma Center is accreditated as a Level I Regional Trauma Center by the American College of Surgeons and Level II by the state.

Pediatric Orthopedics
Whether your child has a fracture or an orthopedic disorder such as scoliosis, you can be sure they will receive expert care from our pediatric orthopedists.   Our specialists provide diagnosis, treatment and rehabilitation services specifically for children.

Morristown Memorial is a designated UnitedHealth Premium Total Joint Replacement Center, featuring a program that is fully integrated across multiple disciplines -- from pre-surgical patient education to specialized peri-operative teams to comprehensive post-acute rehabilitation services -- to ensure coordinated care and superior outcomes for joint replacement patients.
